TROPICAL VELVET is a chunky, peat-free tropical substrate built for collector aroids and other tropical plants that prefer fast drainage, open structure, and steady oxygen around the roots. The mix uses coarse organic and mineral components to help maintain pore space under frequent watering.

Component Preparation Protocol

Before blending, key inputs are prepared for the role they play in the finished tropical substrate. Coco-based materials and chunky structural components may be rinsed, buffered, screened, and batch-checked as needed to support cleaner handling, better calcium and magnesium balance, and more consistent open-root-zone behavior.
